In this role, you will work at the intersection of Finance, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, making sure operational activities are correctly reflected in financial reporting. A key part of your position will be inventory accounting and product costing, while also providing insights that help the business understand financial performance.ulliSupport binventory accounting /b andb product costing /b activities; /liliExecute and monitor costs in bSAP /b(Material Ledger); /liliReview production order settlements, work in progress (WIP) and manufacturing variances; /liliContribute to month-end and year-end closing activities; /liliEnsure accurate inventory valuation in accordance with applicable accounting standards; /liliAnalyze inventory movements, production variances and valuation drivers; /liliSupport COGS calculations and inventory-related reporting; /liliTranslate manufacturing and supply chain activities into the appropriate financial transactions; /liliProvide Finance and Operations stakeholders with relevant financial insights; /liliSupport working capital and inventory optimization initiatives. /li /ulAlongside your day-to-day financial responsibilities, you will contribute to improving and standardizing processes across the international organization. You will work with different stakeholders to strengthen financial controls, improve SAP processes and make costing and inventory procedures more efficient and consistent.ulliHelp standardize inventory valuation and product costing processes across different entities and locations; /liliContribute to bSAP improvements, system changes and automation projects /b; /liliIdentify opportunities to reduce manual activities and improve existing processes; /liliCreate and maintain process documentation and training materials; /liliParticipate in user acceptance testing for cross-functional system and process changes; /liliSupport inventory valuation in accordance with bIFRS, local GAAP and relevant tax requirements /b; /liliMaintain and further develop internal controls related to inventory; /liliAssist with internal and external audit activities; /liliHandle topics such as inventory reserves, obsolescence, lower-of-cost-or-market considerations and intercompany eliminations; /liliMaintain relevant controlling master data, including periodic allocation cycles. /li /ulInitially, part of your focus will be supporting costing activities connected to the company's German operations. In the longer term, your scope will become increasingly international, with a focus on improving and standardizing inventory and costing processes across different locations.bRequirements /bFor this position, we are looking for someone who brings:ulliA Bachelor's degree in bAccounting, Finance, Business Economics /b or a comparable field; /liliAt leastb 3-5 years of relevant financial accounting experience /b, with significant exposure to inventory accounting and/or product costing; /liliExperience working within a bmanufacturing or production environment /b; /liliStrong knowledge of inventory valuation and product costing principles; /liliThe ability to understand operational manufacturing processes and translate them into financial transactions; /liliStrong bSAP /b knowledge, preferably including bFICO, Material Ledger and Product Costing /b; /liliAdvanced bExcel /b skills; /liliExperience with or knowledge of bPower BI is a plus /b; /liliProfessional fluencyb English /b, verbally and in writing, German is a plus /li /ulWho are you?ulliYou are analytical and structured, but you also enjoy working with stakeholders outside of Finance.
