Accounting Executive, Capital Estate Projects Team in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 537668)
The Role
The appointee will assist in the following areas:
preparation of journal entries, data input, budgetary control matters; submission of expenditure claims of capital projects to funding bodies; reconciliation of expenses reports and final accounts for capital projects; handling claims of government rent and rates for the University; preparation of bank reconciliations for month-end closing; preparation of accounting schedules for year-end audits; and undertaking any other ad hoc duties as assigned. Qualifications and Qualities
5 passes in HKCEE including English Language (minimum grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese Language (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR minimum Level 2 or equivalent in HKDSEE in 5 subjects including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; at least 1 year of work experience, preferably in the accounting and auditing field; hands-on knowledge of MS Office applications; good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good communication and interpersonal skills; and ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member in a fast-paced environment. The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
