Purpose
The Port Logistics Manager is responsible for the management, optimization, and operational execution of activities within the Port Logistics organization, including the Locks & Docks team. In addition to acting as a hands-on team lead actively supporting reservations, requests, and day to-day administration, the Port Logistics Manager ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and reliable handling of all port, berth, and related logistics activities for the fleet. The role combines operational leadership with a strong focus on cost control, process improvement, and stakeholder management.
Position
The Port Logistic Manager reports to the operational Fleet manager, and manages the reservation managers and /or Locks & Docks team with responsibility for staffing, workload allocation, and team performance. He or she acts as the central escalation point for all matters related to ports, berths, port services, costs, and operational issues concerning the administrative handling of berths and associated services.
