Housekeeping and Quality Management Trainee
At our large hotel and event venue in Amsterdam, the high level of service comes first. That means that you manage the outsourced cleaning staff and ensure that our rooms are always perfectly clean for our (VIP) guests. As a Housekeeping and Quality Management Trainee, you will experience the dynamics and hectic pace of the day with a smile. At Mövenpick we make moments, do you?

Be limitless
You have an eye for detail so checking rooms and general areas is something you enjoy doing. In doing so, you guarantee the quality requirements and standards of our organisation. You act as a liaison between different departments and make sure everything runs smoothly. There are no limits to your abilities. Is something broken in the room? Then let the technical department know. Is there a room drop? Then you help the reception with this. All to make sure our guests have an unforgettable stay with us. In addition, you will be:


  • available MBO or HBO student for a minimum of 20 weeks, 5 days a week;

  • checking and maintaining contract agreements with the various cleaning and facility companies;

  • checking invoices from the outsourced companies;

  • control and making reports of the room- and public areas checks. With a Quality Control System you track how the outsourced company full fill their tasks. If necessary, you have to see what kind of opportunities there are for improvement;

  • in contact with different department, such as technical service on repairs;

  • flexible. You work together with the Manager on Duty and Front Office department. If there are complaints you will inform the housekeeping supervisors;

  • responsible for ensuring that all VIP guests have an unforgettable stay;

  • responsible for the linen room; ensuring all 130 employees have a clean and tidy uniform.



In this position, you will work different shifts. The shifts start at 07.00, 08.00 or 09.00. You are open to working in the weekends.

On a lovely, sunny day, you can choose between a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute cycle ride from the central station. Or you can hop on the tram from the other side of our hotel. Don’t work. Do what you love instead
You are passionate about giving good service and maintaining the hygiene of our public areas and rooms gives you energy. If this means managing and coordinating our outsourced dishwashing or cleaning staff, you don't mind and see it as a challenge. Meanwhile, you also engage in conversations in the linen room with employees and ensure that everyone receives their washed uniform at the start of their shift. You must have:


  • passion for Hospitality;

  • fluent written and spoken knowledge of the English language, and preferably the Dutch language as well.
