The Job
Our bartenders have a heart for hospitality and strive to deliver remarkable customer service. All beverages at IZAKAYA are seamlessly integrated into the dining experience. The cocktail offering includes a unique selection of refined and often-overlooked beverages, and a tailor-made wine list, complementing IZAKAYA cuisine with the most exclusive wines and champagnes from around the globe.

  • ResponsibilitiesMixing and serving drinks: The bartender is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests in a timely and professional manner. This includes taking orders, preparing drinks, and serving them to guests.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness: The bartender must ensure that the bar area is clean, organized, and properly stocked with all the necessary ingredients and tools.
  • Managing inventory: The bartender is responsible for managing inventory and ensuring that the bar is properly stocked with all necessary supplies, such as liquor, mixers, and garnishes.
  • Handling cash and credit card transactions: The bartender should be skilled in handling cash and credit card transactions, as they will be responsible for collecting payments from customers.
  • Engaging with customers: The bartender is often the face of the establishment and should engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, making recommendations, answering questions, and addressing concerns as needed.
  • Adhering to legal and safety standards: The bartender must comply with all legal and safety regulations related to serving alcohol, including verifying the age of customers and ensuring that they do not become overly intoxicated.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a bar or restaurant. This experience can be gained through entry-level positions such as barback or server, or through formal bartending training programs.
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages: The bartender should have a deep understanding of different types of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and glassware, as well as how to properly prepare and serve various types of drinks.
  • Strong customer service skills: Bartenders must be friendly, personable, and able to engage with customers in a positive and professional manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure: Bartenders must be able to work efficiently and remain calm in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Good communication skills: Bartenders must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, other staff members, and management.
