The Cluster Director of Human Resources is responsible for short- and long-term planning of the HR function at both Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht & Hyatt Regency Amsterdam.
Description:
  • Oversee and manage day to day operations of the (cluster) HR team by delivering on Hyatt’s Leadership Expectations. Your generalist HR leadership role will include Talent Management and Retention, Engagement, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Payroll, Internal Communication, Talent Acquisition/Recruitment and Learning & Development
  • Establish HR strategy plans and lead the HR team to achieve HR objectives based on the hotel’s annual strategy plan.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures
  • Prepare the annual HR budget and monthly rolling forecast, ensuring that the department's operational budget is strictly adhered to, all costs are controlled, and expenditures are properly approved.
  • Coaching, supporting and advising Managers and colleagues at all levels, with a hands-on approach.
  • Supporting in the delivery of Hyatt’s EVP and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy across the hotel
  • Conduct needs analysis, develop, implement, and monitor training programs and materials
  • Collaboration with the leadership team as a business partner
  • Work closely with the Corporate/Regional HR function
  • Take an active role in professional HR organizations




Qualifications:

  • High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line.
  • Ideally with a university degree or diploma in HRM/HRD or Hospitality/Tourism management.
  • 6 years or more of progressive Human Resource experience. Minimum 2 years' work experience as Director of HR.
  • Previous experience in a luxury environment is preferred.
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English, and preferably Dutch.
