THE POSITION As a Front Office Intern, you will be the first point of contact in the hotel four our guests. You’ll give a warm welcome and ensure a smooth check-in process, in line with our brand standards. In addition, you are open to answering questions, handling complaints, and offering assistance where needed. Together with the Front Office Team, you’re always looking for the personal connection with our guests to make their stay as unique as possible. In addition to your daily Front Office tasks, there’s plenty of room for your own input and projects. We’re always curious to see how you get the best learning experience during your internship.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing a smooth check-in and check-out process for our guests at all time.
Handling complaints.
Maximizing room occupancy and using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
Promote hospitality within our hotel standards.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Currently enrolled in an MBO/HBO degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a degree in another relevant field of study.
Affinity with hotels and hospitality.
Fluent in English, and preferably in Dutch.
EU/EEA national and enrolled in a Dutch institution as we cannot provide visas, permits, or sponsorships.

BedrijfsomschrijvingDe voormalige meisjesschool OPUS aan het Vierdaagseplein in Nijmegen ondergaat een transformatie. In opdracht van Lingotto transformeren wij samen met Ventimon Elektrotechnisch bedrijf en Van Delftgroep het statige schoolgebouw naar een viersterrenhotel dat de naam 'The Rebyl' gaat dragen. Het wordt onderdeel van de Amerikaanse hotelketen Marriott International. De entreepartij en hal met trappenhuis blijft behouden en dient straks als hotellobby. Aan de achterzijde van het hotel wordt nieuwbouw gerealiseerd met een houten gevel. Het gebouw wordt verduurzaamd met nieuwe isolatie, zonnepanelen, duurzame installaties en er is veel aandacht voor biodiversiteit. Denk hierbij aan groene daken, vogelnestvoorzieningen voor ca. 100 vogels zoals mussen, gierzwaluwen en vleermuizen. Het 4-sterren hotel krijgt 97 kamers en suites en een café-restaurant. Naast de boutique gym zijn er vergader- en eventruimtes, gelegen aan de groene binnentuinen van het gebouw. Na de bouwvak zijn wij gestart met de transformatie en is inmiddels in volle gang. Wij verwachten in het tweede kwartaal van 2024 het gebouw op te leveren aan Lingotto.
