Software Engineer Documentautomation - DAF Trucks

The Certification Development team is responsible for obtaining and maintaining emission and OBD certifications. This includes testing engines and vehicles and preparing mandatory documentation.

Certification documentation (such as AECD/AES and OBD) plays a key role.

• AECD/AES documentation explains how the engine and aftertreatment system operate, including deviations and their emission impact.
• OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) documentation describes the diagnostic functions of the engine.

Responsibilities

• Writing and updating certification documentation (OBD and AECD/AES):
  • Collaborating with technical experts to define content.
  • Drafting sections of the documentation.
  • Planning and tracking document changes.
  • Coordinating the review and approval process.
• Creating and maintaining scripts for automated documentation.
• Improving tools to manage and streamline processes and documentation.

• Bachelors' Degree in Mechatronics, Automotive or similar
• Experience with programming (Python/XLST)
• Knowledge of diesel engines, aftertreatment systems, or On-Board Diagnostics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fluent English
• Experience with DITA or other documentation tools
• A structured working approach with strong progress-monitoring skills
• An interest in capturing and documenting technical knowledge
• A proactive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively with others
