EH&S Technician Dow Terneuzen

• Actively participate in the EH&S Turnaround Team, providing insights and solutions for EH&S concerns and opportunities.
  
• Collaborate with Turnaround Planners to integrate EH&S aspects into work plans during FEL and conduct additional EH&S assessments as needed.
  
• Work with the Turnaround Scheduler to identify potential EH&S impacts and optimize job execution sequencing.
  
• Consult Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and utilize Most Effective Technology (MET) for planning and task completion
  
• Ensure EH&S programs are in place to protect workers and the environment.
  
• Implement Industrial Hygiene programs (e.g., IH monitoring, PPE requirements) and mitigate related issues
  
• Define EH&S expectations for all contractors
  
• Plan, attend, and/or facilitate EH&S meetings and programs
  
• Coordinate EH&S aspects of maintenance/contractor/operations activities, addressing issues that delay safe and productive task completion
  
• Collaborate with contractors’ EH&S representatives to determine PPE, breathing air, etc. requirements
  
• Develop and promote a positive EH&S culture among all parties involved in Turnaround activities
  
• Identify tasks to be performed during Turnaround, assess risks, and define preventive measures
  
• Communicate required preventive measures to all contractors
  
• Evaluate all Turnaround jobs from an EH&S perspective

• Minimum MBO-4 level of education and thinking, preferably in a technical field
  
• A valid MVK and/or HVK certificate, or willingness to obtain one
  
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken (C1 level)
  
• Preferably in possession of a VCA-VOL certificate
  
• EH&S experience is a plus
  
• Knowledge or education in chemistry is a plus
  
• Experience or background in an R&D environment is a plus
  
• Ability to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG)
  
• Dutch work permit valid for at least nine months or EU nationality
