 Make a difference as Data Steward  You would like to become the expert in interpersonal communication with the ability to educate, inform, persuade, and achieve understanding and agreement on data management across different functions, levels, and customers. You foster a culture of data savviness in the organization. Your key responsibilities:  
  • Take accountability for data quality by analysing, monitoring, defining, and maintaining master data quality aligned with business rules for assigned data tables and elements; 
  • Document and communicate changes and issues for specific domains data to these roles; 
  • Act as the voice of authority over changes to the assigned master data, monitoring the change process from beginning to end, and ensuring proper workflow management; 
  • Ensure delivery of projects and changes in line with future state data architectures, as requested by the architecture team; 
  • Maintain the lexicon, data dictionary, and (conceptual and logical) data models for domain data, Meta Data definitions, reference data, and other data types for assigned entities (including data attributes and processes); 
  • Distribute policies (including RBAC) per domain of data to the Data Producers, Data Owners, and Data Specialists to improve data maintenance and increase usage and risk awareness; 
  • Ensure proper input to Master Data Management and Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures. 
 You will work closely with Engineers and Business Intelligence specialists to ensure data quality and model consistency. You will report to the Manager Data, Analytics and Reporting and work at least 2days a week from our headquarters based in Enkhuizen.   What you bring as a future colleague  
  • Experience in large business and IT projects; 
  • At least 3 years of experience in data management or business analysis in a data domain; 
  • Proven experience and ability to work with senior management, business, and IT stakeholders; 
  • Basic understanding of data modelling; 
  • Experienced with Excel; 
  • Knowledge and/or experience with SQL would be a plus.
