 Every morning, your day starts at 06:00 AM. You clock in and then go to the daily briefing, where your team leader discusses improvements and safety points. Then, you check the screen to see what time you'll finish working, which varies each day between 10:00-13:00 depending on the workload. After that, you put on your headset and hop on your electric cart. Through your headset you'll hear exactly where to go. You follow the numbers in the hall and pick up your cart. What you will do is move the flowers and plants on the cart to the correct spots. After that, you go to the final destination and place the cart there. Before leaving your spot, you scan the barcode on the floor. Then, you check if the number of flowerpots/plant pots matches. It’s now time for your first break of the day, and you chat with your colleagues. Around 10:00-13:00 your workday is already over, and you clock out with your badge.

In this role, you are the one who ensures that the flowers and plants are in the correct places. If this position is not filled, work will grind to a halt, the carts won't be moved on time, and everything will get chaotic. This causes delays in the process and a messy workday. You make sure everything runs smoothly. You do this by focusing on:

  • Picking up and moving the carts to the correct locations.
  • Scanning the barcodes on the floor to properly track everything.
  • Checking if the quantities of flowerpots/plant pots are correct.

Before you start, we provide 2 training days where the logistics process will be explained. You work during the week and have the weekend off. You can choose to work 5 days a week or just 3, depending on what fits your needs best. The minimum number of workdays is 2 days per week. If you work 5 days a week, you will work 20-25 hours a week. The request for a VOG (Certificate of Conduct) may be part of the selection process.

Functie-eisen
  • At least 18 years old
  • At least 1.65 meters tall (for your safety on the work floor)
  • Able to understand and speak Dutch or English well

Through Actief Werkt!, you will be working at Royal FloraHolland in Aalsmeer. Royal FloraHolland has been connecting flower growers and buyers for over 100 years and is the largest flower auction in the world. We operate in 3 locations: Naaldwijk, Rijnsburg, and Aalsmeer. By applying for this position, you are applying for the Aalsmeer location. Actief Werkt! has an office at the flower auction, right next to the work floor. This makes it easy to stop by for a chat or if you have any questions. We are available Monday to Friday to assist you!

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
  • Salary: €16.04 gross per hour or an all-in salary of €17.73 gross per hour
  • Weekly payment
  • Full reimbursement of your public transport pass if you work more than 4 days a week
  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre for journeys over 5 km one way
  • Once per quarter, you’ll receive a plant gift from Royal FloraHolland
  • 8.33% holiday pay
