Job Description

As a procurement & contract management assistant at The European Medicines Agency (EMA) in Amsterdam, you will support the implementation of the Agency's annual work plan, including its Extended Mandate. You will work in the CIO Office alongside two energetic and experienced professionals. Together, you will collaborate with the central procurement service to establish contracts that enable the Agency to fulfill its mission of advancing human and veterinary health across Europe.



Your responsibilities will include:



  • Assisting in the execution of procurement and contract management activities in line with policy procedures.
  • Resolving issues related to procurement and contract management.
  • Preparing procurement and contract documentation, including drafting tender documents and contracts.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of procurement rules and procedures.
  • Contributing to the development and updating of templates, guidelines, and training materials related to procurement rules and procedures.
  • Handling daily administrative tasks related to procurement and contract management, including preparing and implementing calls for tenders and/or proposals.



You will work 40 hours per week until June 15, 2025.

As a procurement & contract management assistant, you are a precise and supportive team player. You thrive on optimizing processes and solving problems within well-defined frameworks. Additionally, you bring:



  • A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or a level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, combined with at least three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Up to six years of professional experience if your post-secondary education diploma was awarded within the last six years; if only secondary education was completed, a minimum of three years of professional experience is required.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Salary and Benefits

What we offer



  • A competitive salary, equal to function group FGIV, starting with €3.716,24 and a maximum of €4.757,31 euro gross per month, depending on your qualifications;
