As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timely delivery of key equipment for advanced naval vessels. Your role will involve evaluating products and manufacturers, conducting site assessments, and managing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). You will play a crucial role in producing detailed evaluation reports, tracking actions, addressing non-conformities, and ensuring all issues are resolved promptly.

Key Responsibilities:


 Monitoring and managing suppliers, identifying and addressing delivery or quality issues as part of Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA).
 Collaborating with the Project Quality Manager to define and enforce relevant qualification criteria for compliance and performance.
 Identifying corrective actions, managing their implementation, and escalating issues when required.
 Planning and conducting field surveys and supplier qualification audits based on risk assessments.
 Coördinating and overseeing the planning, execution, and reporting of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), ensuring all prerequisites are met.
 Acting as the primary contact during site surveys, audits, and FATs, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
 Performing verification and validation against specifications during FAT, and managing non-conformities.
 Ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of actions and corrective measures resulting from FAT.
 Supporting the monitoring, expediting, and reporting on hardware and delivery schedules, as well as coördinating logistics for transport and shipping.
Functie-eisen
 A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Shipbuilding, or Quality Management.
 At least five years of relevant experience in an Engineering, Production, or Commissioning (EPC) environment.
 Strong background in compliance and quality management processes within a technical production environment, including experience working with supply chain applications and tools.
 Certifications from specialist courses in auditing, quality inspections, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
 Solid understanding of production and quality control processes.
 Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
 Willingness to travel for business, including international assignments which may be frequent and of long duration.
 Availability to travel frequently to supplier locations across various regions.
 Permanent EU citizenship and passport are mandatory. Candidates with an EU (work) visa or dual nationality (EU and non-EU) are not eligible, in accordance with the security requirements related to the nature of our projects.
