Then we are looking for you as our new Director of Front Office!
As Director of Front Office, you lead our team of Assistant Front Office Managers, Front Office Leads, Agents & Porters and you manage them in their daily work. With your passion for excellent service you motivate, train and coach the team to exceed every guests' expectation. You're able to think outside of the box like no other, so complaints and problems are resolved in no time, and you inspire your team to do the same. You constantly monitor service quality and optimize processes where necessary, in line with the company's strategies. You are great in making efficient team schedules, and ensure low absenteeism and staff turnover figures by fostering a great team culture and positive work environment. You're results driven and have the financial acumen to drive revenues, and control costs within your department, as well as maintaining staff productivity in line with budget.
The Director of Front Office at Pulitzer Amsterdam;
Will lead the daily operations in our Front Office Department and is fully responsible for the arrival/departure experience of our guests, employee satisfaction and the department's culture.
Inspires and motivates the team to achieve operational excellence, and leads by giving the right example.
Is fully in charge of HRM management for the department, including recruitment, onboarding, employee development and employee satisfaction.
Works closely together with the Guest Experience Manager, Executive Housekeeper and other Head of Departments to create great guest experiences, and is always on the lookout for best practices for operational excellence
Is highly visible in the lobby and interacts with guests frequently, to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels & overall satisfaction.
Has strong communication skills, is able to organize efficient team meetings and continuously communicates a clear and consistent message to the team regarding hotel/department goals, to produce desired results.
Drives the departmental objectives, and celebrates successes when they are achieved.
Our ideal Director of Front Office meets the following requirements:
Experience as (Assistant) Front Office Manager in a large, upscale and fast paced hotel environment (in the five-star market is a plus)
Able to work well with Microsoft Office. Experience with Opera Cloud is a plus.
Strong communication skills in English (verbal, listening & writing), Dutch is a plus.
Flexible: willing and able to work alternating shifts (both morning/day/evening) on a flexible basis on both weekdays, weekends and holidays.
