Manpower is looking for a Maintenance Officer for a company in Helmond.
As a Maintenance Officer, you will ensure the smooth operation of advanced automated systems, including Autostore, within the distribution center. Your tasks will include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to minimize downtime. You’ll manage spare parts stock, assist with purchasing, and collaborate with the Maintenance Engineer. Training warehouse operators in first-line maintenance techniques and handling general facility tasks will be part of your role. You will also assist with maintenance KPIs, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (ISO, SPS), and maintain a tidy workspace using 5S principles. Proactively identifying and escalating safety risks is key to your responsibilities.

Gross salary between €3.000,- and €3.600,- per month

Shift allowance of 8.75% on all worked hours (Saturday/Sunday work is paid at 175% of your hourly rate, mandatory on 5 Saturdays per year, up to a maximum of 15 on a voluntary basis)

Functie-eisen
Vocational degree (MBO level) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automation/Automotive Technology
Minimum of 2 years’ experience maintaining, repairing operational equipment or production machinery
Strong understanding of electromechanical systems (70% mechanical focus) with basic knowledge of IT systems (WCS, ERP, PLC/HMI for reading and translating error codes)
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Knowledge of Machine Guidelines and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Soft criteria (nice-to-haves):
Effective communication skills with the ability to consult and support operational teams
Proactive, independent worker with a passion for continuous improvement
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
English is imperative; Dutch or German language skills are a bonus
Experience from complex technical industries like automotive or sophisticated logistics environments is highly valued
