 You will be responsible for optimizing pricing, managing distribution channels, and ensuring that our revenue strategies outperform the competition. Based in our office in The Hague, you’ll analyse trends, collaborate with key teams, and make data-driven decisions to maximize profitability across all our hotels. The roleAs Revenue Manager at The Usual, you play a key role in driving profitability by implementing effective revenue management strategies. You will optimize pricing, manage distribution channels, and analyse market trends to maximize revenue and outperform the competition. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Hotel Operations, and Reservations, you align commercial strategies and support budgeting, forecasting, and potential acquisitions. Your responsibilities, among other things, include:  
  • Revenue Optimization: Implement pricing strategies, monitor market trends, and adjust rates to drive profitability.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Accurately forecast short-term performance and contribute to annual budgets.
  • Distribution & Channel Management: Maintain rate integrity and optimize OTA and direct booking performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Generate and analyse reports to identify trends, track KPIs, and improve revenue strategies.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work with Sales & Marketing on campaigns, corporate rates, and commercial development plans.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead revenue meetings, provide investor insights, and maintain relationships with OTAs and third-party agencies.
  • System & Content Management: Maintain RMS, PMS, and channel manager integrations while ensuring accurate online content.
  • Market Awareness: Stay up to date with industry trends, local events, and emerging technologies to enhance performance.
  • This role also involves additional tasks related to market research, strategic pricing, system optimization, and supporting business growth as needed.
Your superpowers and requirementsWe are looking for a highly analytical and strategic thinker with a passion for revenue optimization. In this role, attention to detail, strong decision-making skills, and a data-driven mindset go hand in hand. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborate effortlessly with cross-functional teams, and use your expertise to drive performance. Next to this, the following requirements apply:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in Hotel Revenue Management (or similar industry). 
  • Degree from Hotel Management School, or general Business School required. Candidates with substantial previous experience in similar role may be considered.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe, if and when the business requires.
  • Previous experience with Property Management and Revenue Management Systems and strong in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Creative mindset to think out of the box and have fun to drive revenue for our properties.
  • Eye for detail and ability to prioritize and organize tasks efficiently and at a high standard.
  • Hands-on mentality and flexible to support and connect with all departments across the hotels.
  • Proficient in English (Dutch, French or Italian is a plus).

We are currently based in The Hague, but our office is relocating to Amsterdam later this year.
