 Make a difference as Researcher Genome Editing As a Researcher Genome Editing at Enza Zaden, you will pioneer projects in developing and optimizing tissue culture regeneration protocols and genome editing. Using advanced techniques, you will contribute to the development of protocols that advance our breeding programs. Your work will involve close collaboration with other Cell Technology experts, as well as cross-functional teams in Biotechnology and Breeding, to create innovative solutions for vegetable variety development.  Your tasks will include: 
  • Developing and implementing tissue culture regeneration techniques; 
  • Leading & executing research projects focused on genome editing;  
  • Working closely with interdisciplinary teams to translate your research into scalable applications for breeding programs. 
 You will be part of the Cell Technology (CT) department, where we collaborate with Biotechnology and Breeding to deliver plants with varied genetic value. Our core research areas include protocol development for genome editing, transgenesis, mutagenesis, double haploids, micropropagation, in vivo/in vitro plant growth and more.  What you bring as a future colleague 
  • MSc with 3 years experience or PhD with 1 year experience in (green) life sciences or plant biology/biotechnology; 
  • Skilled in a broad range of tissue culture and genome editing methodologies; 
  • Knowledge of tissue culture regeneration and genome editing techniques; 
  • Proven experience in project management; 
  • Hands-on and passionate about plant development and cell biology; 
  • Methodological, structured, and analytical approach to research and problem-solving;
  • Fluent English and comfortable working in an international team.
