As a Project Engineer, you will guide a discipline-specific engineering team through all phases of the project. You’ll be responsible for design quality, technical innovation, team performance, and alignment with client expectations—while ensuring everything stays on schedule and within budget. You’ll not only steer your own engineering discipline, but also shape the collaborative success of the wider project team. Your leadership will help ensure each yacht is engineered to perfection—technically flawless, beautifully built, and ready for the world stage.
Lead the engineering scope of your discipline, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery across all project stages. Review and develop final designs, technical specifications, and 3D models with a focus on compliance and manufacturability. Act as the technical go-to person, providing expert solutions for complex engineering issues. Promote cross-disciplinary collaboration and coordination with other engineering departments. Mentor and supervise engineers at various experience levels, driving quality and professional growth. Liaise directly with internal and external stakeholders, including the Owner’s team, to manage expectations and resolve challenges. Analyze and improve engineering workflows to encourage continuous development and innovation.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Maritime Technology, or a related technical field. At least 5 years of engineering experience in the shipbuilding industry, ideally within luxury or custom-built projects. Proven ability to manage and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams. Strong proficiency in 3D AutoCAD; familiarity with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and Cadmatic is highly valued. Excellent command of English, both spoken and written. In-depth understanding of yacht construction methods, engineering standards, and production processes. Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach depending on the audience—whether technical or client-facing. A proactive mindset with a drive to lead, improve, and deliver exceptional results.
