We are looking for an experienced professional to join our configuration management team in Vlissingen, The Netherlands. As someone who thrives on order, structure, and technical precision, you’ll take the lead in organizing and maintaining accurate configuration data across the entire product lifecycle. From the earliest planning stages to post-delivery support, your role will be crucial in ensuring every product variant remains traceable, consistent, and aligned with specifications.

What you’ll do:


 Develop configuration control frameworks tailored to the needs of engineering programs.
 Manage and maintain technical baselines, documentation libraries, and product architecture structures.
 Review and verify technical documentation exchanges between partners, customers, and internal teams.
 Monitor change processes to make sure updates are logged, approved, and implemented efficiently.
 Operate and manage information using PLM tools (preferably 3DX or similar platforms).
 Support team members by offering coaching and best practices for configuration procedures.
 Drive improvements in data governance and long-term configuration strategy.
 Facilitate communication between engineering, planning, production, and quality assurance teams.
Functie-eisen
 A degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally with exposure to the maritime sector.
 Prior experience with configuration management in complex technical environments.
 Working knowledge of product data management (PDM) and PLM tools; 3DX experience is a plus.
 Familiarity with systems engineering principles is highly desirable.
 Strong focus on precision, with the ability to manage data dependencies across systems.
 Organized and solution-oriented mindset, with a desire to improve existing workflows.
 Clear communicator with the ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiences.
 Fluent in English (spoken and written); Dutch is considered beneficial.
 You must hold permanent EU citizenship and an EU passport due to security clearance requirements.
 Unfortunately, candidates holding (also) a non-EU nationality or work visa cannot be considered due to the nature of the position.
