We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager Production to oversee and manage the shipbuilding process for a module or full naval vessel.
Given that production locations are spread across various international sites, this role requires flexibility for extensive travel and long-term assignments abroad.
You will play a crucial role in coordinating construction efforts from start to finish, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong organizational and problem-solving skills, ready to take ownership of the production phase of high-value defense projects.

Key Responsibilities:


 Leading the day-to-day operations of the production phase within a shipbuilding program.
 Ensuring that construction activities are executed according to schedule, financial targets, and quality benchmarks.
 Supporting the creation and optimization of the production plan, including the strategy, sequencing, and tactical execution.
 Recommending adjustments or alternative approaches when quality standards or timelines are at risk.
 Directing a team of supervisors, making sure they possess the right skills and are adequately staffed for project demands.
 Managing the hands-on construction process by assigning tasks and coordinating subcontractors and supervisors on site.
 Monitoring progress through structured reporting, analysis, on-site assessments, and applying corrective actions when needed.
 Providing input on scope changes and evaluating the impact of modifications to the original construction plan.
Functie-eisen
 At least three years of experience managing production teams in complex technical or shipbuilding environments.
 Proven background in overseeing the construction of advanced naval or offshore engineering projects.
 A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Naval Architecture, Maritime Engineering, or another technical discipline.
 Strong communication skills in both English and Dutch, in writing and speaking.
 Willingness to travel extensively and to reside abroad for extended project durations as required.
 Strong professional references are essential, as pre-employment background screening is a mandatory part of the recruitment process.
 Candidates must possess permanent EU citizenship and an EU passport. Due to the nature of the defense-related work, individuals with dual EU/non-EU nationality or those holding only a work visa are not eligible.
