Are you ready to take a leading role in high-impact procurement for cutting-edge naval shipbuilding projects? As a Strategic Project Buyer, you will be responsible for overseeing complex sourcing activities, optimizing supplier networks, and shaping procurement strategies that directly influence project success.

Key Responsibilities:


• Take charge of strategic purchasing efforts related to the construction of sophisticated military vessels, ensuring all procurement and outsourcing processes are aligned and effective.
• Foster and maintain strong professional partnerships with critical subcontractors and suppliers to ensure a reliable and agile supply chain.
• Carry out in-depth market analysis to support purchasing decisions, anticipating changes in pricing trends and sector developments.
• Administer supplier contracts from negotiation through execution, with close attention to cost control and compliance.
• Champion performance improvement projects with key suppliers by applying structured evaluations and qualification processes.
• Lead and support category teams in creating and implementing procurement roadmaps, contributing valuable insights for budget planning and cost forecasting.
Functie-eisen
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant procurement experience, ideally within a technical environment involving complex, large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Confident negotiator with a proactive, independent, and organized approach to challenges.
• Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline; NEVI-1 and NEVI-2 certifications are preferred or a willingness to obtain them.
• Fluent in both Dutch and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to provide solid references, with security screening forming part of the hiring process.
• Only applicants with full EU citizenship and a valid EU passport can be considered, due to the sensitive nature of the work. Candidates holding dual nationality or non-EU documents are not eligible.
