About the role

As Product Area Lead, you will lead a team of product owners within the Continuous Integration & Delivery (CI/CD) environment. This environment automates and supports the entire process from build to deployment, reducing manual work and accelerating delivery with high quality. You play a crucial role in setting the strategic direction and shaping the organizational structure within this product domain.

Your responsibilities

Define the strategic direction of CI/CD products and services in collaboration with the tribe lead DevEx and System Engineering
Develop and execute a strategic vision to improve the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including setup, maintenance, and optimization of Continuous Deployment processes
Further automate the delivery pipeline by integrating tools and practices that streamline the CI process, reduce manual work, and increase efficiency
Implement and manage an enhanced SDLC with closed control loops and support for automated workflows such as the Golden Path
Integrate agentic AI frameworks to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality
Build guardrails and apply a data-driven approach to CI, working closely with the Tribe SRE on Continuous Delivery and seamless Operations
Lead and coach a team of product managers in a collaborative and innovative environment
Collaborate closely with other tribes within Engineering and Reliability to align strategies and ensure successful project execution
Form strong partnerships with the IT Area Lead and other stakeholders
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to align strategies and drive projects to successful completion

Functie-eisen
10-15+ years of experience in software engineering, IT operations, and/or software architecture
Deep understanding of SDLC and CI/CD automation
Strong product management skills: strategic thinking, OKRs, roadmapping, storytelling, communication, developing business cases
Experience with customer and market insights: understanding user needs, customer behavior, and market trends
Expertise in product lifecycle management: from ideation to development, launch, and phase-out
Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making
Experience with tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, Maven, Gradle, and Terraform
Experience managing and optimizing complex systems with closed control loops
Excellent leadership skills and passion for driving innovation and efficiency
Proven experience as an individual product manager, responsible for the value and viability of solutions
Ability to quickly learn new domains and understanding of major business areas
Experience in coaching and developing team members
Clear understanding of the role as a coach for product managers, distinct from direct product ownership
Proven ability to engage constructively and collaboratively with team members and leaders at all levels
Salary between €7,125 - €11,331
24-27 vacation days (depending on contract)
