Are you an engineer who thrives on bringing structure, consistency, and clarity to complex designs? Do you enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams on cutting-edge naval solutions? We are looking for a Standardization Engineer to help streamline engineering processes, reduce costs, and minimize risks by introducing smart, standardized practices across our naval project portfolio.

In this position, you’ll be a key member of the standardization team within the broader Engineering department. Your work will focus on harmonizing components and processes across projects to improve manufacturability and reduce engineering hours. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues from mechanical, structural, and outfitting disciplines to develop and manage company-wide and project-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities:


• Preparing and updating consistent 2D drawings for standardized components, ensuring high-quality documentation across projects.
• Reviewing technical specifications to guarantee all standardized parts meet requirements for safety, production feasibility, ergonomics, and weight.
• Maintaining up-to-date standardization information in the product data management (PDM) system.
• Working in coordination with design, production, and procurement teams across different departments and international locations.
• Engaging with suppliers and regulatory bodies to align on compliance with relevant classification and industry standards.
Functie-eisen
• A completed MBO-4 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical background.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an engineering environment.
• A structured and precise working style, with strong collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with CAD software, ideally MicroStation.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, in speaking and writing.
• The ability to provide strong professional references, as part of the security clearance procedure.
• Full EU citizenship and a valid EU passport are required. Due to the confidential nature of the projects, candidates with dual EU/non-EU nationality or dependent on visa sponsorship are not eligible.
