FunctieomschrijvingRole Overview Are you ready to drive large-scale climate impact in global agri supply chains? As ofi’s Climate Action Manager - Supply Chains, you’ll lead decarbonisation efforts across diverse crops like cocoa, coffee, dairy, nuts, and spices. You’ll shape and scale climate-smart farming, GHG measurement, and carbon reduction strategies within our sustainability programmes—aligned with our Choices for Change targets and SBTi commitments. This role is ideal for a seasoned sustainability leader with field experience, strong technical knowledge, and a passion for sustainable agriculture. You’ll train and guide teams and implementing partners across origins, collaborate with data and digital experts, and ensure our tools and reporting meet the highest standards. You’ll also help unlock business value through verified GHG reductions and removals, supporting customer needs and compliance. Coordinate and grow decarbonisation as a key part of ofi’s sustainable agriculture programmes, with support from Product Platforms and the sustainability team.
Co-develop new programmes and projects with Business Units.
Support the creation of climate-friendly products and services with internal teams.
Help businesses respond to customer needs for product carbon footprints and insights.
Track progress on climate goals and support climate reporting (e.g. CDP, TCFD, GRI).
Strategic Effectiveness
Lead partnerships with third parties on climate topics, including alliances and standard-setting groups.
Support engagement with governments, NGOs, universities, and donors to build technical and financial partnerships.
Promote new climate technologies and practices that support ofi’s goals.
Operational Effectiveness
Run GHG and decarbonisation scenario planning for supply chains and products using internal or third-party tools.
Improve current and new programmes to meet climate targets and create value from emissions reductions and carbon removals.
Ensure compliance with third-party standards for GHG reductions and removals (e.g. carbon credits, offsets).
Work with data experts to improve digital tools like the footprint calculator and climate scenario planner.
Organizational Effectiveness
Understand local environments to deliver useful training and support to origin teams and partners.
Coordinate with other sustainability experts on related topics like farmer income, water, biodiversity, and soil.
Work with internal teams to drive positive change and improve sustainability performance.
This position can be filled either in our London office, or our Amsterdam office, provided you contain a valid right to work for this location.Functie eisenRequirements
A personal passion for sustainable agriculture and food systems.
10+ years in relevant roles (which may include years in relevant education e.g. advanced degree in related topic), including significant experience working with large organisations, preferably but not exclusively in the private sector
Field experience in agriculture in developing countries, especially working with smallholder farmers
Demonstrable experience in driving positive environmental impacts in relevant projects and programmes (agriculture and land use management)
Technical expertise and practical experience in climate smart agriculture, natural climate solutions, and working with internationally recognized carbon standards, verification and reporting (ideally, direct experience developing and managing agri and forest climate projects)
Outstanding project management and organizational skills, including a high level of teamwork, goal setting, workflow and budget management, and a focus on delivery.
Skilled in data management, analytics and presentation, with a working knowledge of key methods and tools for environmental data collection, life cycle assessment, and spatial analysis, and an active interest in digital sustainability systems
