Maintenance & Reliability Engineer (EV Charging Infrastructure)


Netherlands | Full-time | Remote-friendly


The company is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the Netherlands.


This role serves as a critical link between Technology and Operations—leading maintenance efforts, optimizing technical workflows, and driving continuous improvements. The engineer will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders to deliver reliable, efficient, and scalable service operations.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee operation and maintenance strategies for EV charging stations throughout the Netherlands
  • Analyze performance data to identify priorities and implement improvements
  • Produce clear, data-driven insights and technical reports
  • Provide guidance and support to the internal service team on technical issues and development
  • Collaborate on infrastructure and service projects to enhance operational efficiency
  • Coordinate with external contractors to ensure high-quality and timely delivery
  • Share knowledge to strengthen team capabilities and technical standards
  • Ensure alignment and clear communication between technical teams and management


Candidate Profile

  • Degree in electrical or software engineering, or 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Basic electrical knowledge: able to self-assess on a scale of 1–10; understands core concepts such as voltage vs. current; able to follow and question the work of technicians at charging stations
  • Programming/software understanding: not required to code, but capable of reading scripts, understanding basic logic, and working with Linux command line (used across company programs and chargers)
  • Debugging and troubleshooting experience: hands-on background in diagnosing and resolving operational hardware issues (e.g., troubleshooting running machines or equipment)
  • Experience in team coordination or leadership is an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record in root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a structured, hands-on approach
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate technical insights clearly
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
  • Willingness to travel within the Netherlands as required
  • Fluency in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
  • Additional technical certifications (e.g., master electrician, technician) are a plus
