FunctieomschrijvingMechanical Construction Manager – AmsterdamOur client is a market-leading data centre delivery partner, renowned for providing turnkey solutions from initial design through to full construction, commissioning, and handover. Operating across Europe, they are currently managing over 500 MW of IT load in flight across multiple sites.They are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their expanding team in Amsterdam. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile, mission-critical projects with a leader in the data centre sector.Key ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical construction activities on site, ensuring all works meet project, quality, and safety standards.Oversee client communications, method statements, and risk assessments for HVAC deliverables.Coordinate with project teams to sequence pipework installations to meet scheduled dates.Manage commercial aspects from handover through to procurement of equipment, subcontractors, and suppliers.Track and report on project schedules (two-week lookahead) and labour requirements.Ensure variations, delays, and compliance issues are identified, documented, and communicated.Monitor subcontractor performance, site housekeeping, and safety compliance.Ensure all materials meet specifications and are stored securely.Support continuous improvement in safety and project delivery processes.Skills & ExperienceRelevant mechanical qualification (e.g. B.Eng Degree, City & Guilds Certificate, HNC/BTEC, NVQ).Proven experience in a similar role within a Mechanical & Electrical contracting environment (data centre experience advantageous).Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills.
