Middle Office Analyst
About the Role
Our client, a leading trading and investment organisation operating across global financial markets, is seeking a Middle Office Analyst to join their team. The Analyst will identify, investigate, and reconcile trade, position, and cash exceptions by working directly with trading desks and clearing firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the reconciliation of trading fees with brokers, exchanges, and clearing firms
- Assist with daily P&L substantiation, reconciliation, and required reporting
- Suggest and follow up on improvements to operational processes
- Ensure procedures remain efficient and are well-documented through continuous review
- Collaborate with Back Office and IT teams on enhancements to middle office applications and tools
- Provide operational support to trading desks and follow up with brokers regarding fee discrepancies
- Perform ad hoc portfolio analysis and project work as required
- Work with finance teams on month-end accounting bookings
Who You Are
- Academic degree in Finance or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role (within trading firms, investment banks, or equivalent)
- Experience in trade settlement with clearing firms or invoice processing is desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of process improvement
- Able to adapt and embrace technology
- Analytical thinker with a proactive, hands-on mentality
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English
