We are seeking an experienced employment lawyer to serve as the primary point of contact for all Dutch employment law matters, while also supporting international employment issues across multiple jurisdictions. This role works closely with HR, Legal, and business stakeholders to ensure fair, scalable, and compliant employment practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on Dutch labor law and employment matters.
- Advise on employee representation structures and related governance.
- Support HR with complex employee relations, workplace issues, and disputes.
- Draft, review, and maintain employment policies, templates, and contracts.
- Contribute to cross-border employment projects and coordinate with external counsel.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments, sharing insights with HR and management.
- Act as the point of contact for Dutch authorities on employment-related topics.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design frameworks for remote work, employee relations, and workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Law degree; Dutch bar admission preferred.
- Minimum 6 years’ post-qualification experience in Dutch employment law (in-house and/or private practice).
- Strong track record handling sensitive employee matters and providing strategic legal advice.
- Deep knowledge of Dutch labor law and employee representation structures.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Business-oriented, pragmatic, and able to work independently.
- Fluency in Dutch and English required.
