Job Summary:
The Specialist People Operations provides Human Resource support to employees and managers within an assigned region, country, or function, ensuring a positive employee experience through effective query resolution and facilitation of employee lifecycle processes—from Hire to Termination—excluding recruitment activities. By delivering efficient People administration and first-line communication, this role contributes to a solid People foundation and enhances the overall employee experience for the supported region(s) or country(ies).
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer a wide variety of personnel policies and processes including all related document management.
- Ensure processes, procedures, and documents are current and compliant with applicable local employment laws and legislation.
- Execute people processing tasks such as contract/offer management, absence tracking/reporting/validation, and employee data changes.
- Maintain and administer global HR systems and tools (e.g., Workday, SAP).
- Document all internal queries following standard operating procedures.
- Maintain employee records and files accurately.
- Coordinate actions including validation of work permits and management of personnel contracts and documents.
- Prepare and coordinate payroll change reports and audits within pre-agreed timelines.
- Explain policies, procedures, and regulations to employees and managers to ensure compliance and understanding.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from internal and external parties, resolving issues or escalating as needed.
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement on employee handbook content and HR systems to Business Partners.
- Maintain employee communication channels such as bulletin boards and online resource libraries.
- Organize and support regional/country People-related events, e.g., health fairs, Ask.HR days.
- Ensure new hires and employee changes are administered within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and payroll deadlines.
- Respond to ticket inquiries within SLA and achieve defined employee satisfaction targets.
- Complete mandatory compliance training on time.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve problems within systems or processes beyond documented procedures by updating or modifying working methods.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience within a People team or 2 years in a similar role, ideally including customer-facing HR or data processing experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in People database systems, preferably Workday.
- Strong computer skills including SAP, MS Office, Google Suite.
- Basic knowledge of local labor laws preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a strong customer focus.
- Ability to communicate effectively, multi-task, solve problems, and maintain focus under stress.
- Adaptable with strong analytical skills and ability to see the bigger picture.
- Data and analytics oriented.
