Role Overview

We are looking for a strategic and customer-centric Key Account Manager Semicon to drive sustainable growth and strengthen our position within the semiconductor industry. In this role, you will manage and one of the most innovative and demanding companies in high-tech manufacturing.


You will be responsible for identifying and delivering tailored solutions across ERIKS’ product and service portfolio, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and business profitability. Collaborating with colleagues in product management, technical support, and operations, you will serve as the voice of the customer within ERIKS.


This position reports to the Head of Semicon.


Key Responsibilities


  • Account Development: Manage and grow long-term relationships with stakeholders within your Key Account. Deeply understand their operational, technical, and strategic needs, translating them into tailored value propositions, and driving improvements across Quality, Logistics, Technical, Cost, and Sustainability (QLTCS) performance.
  • Customer Engagement: Develop relationship management plans for key accounts. Engage with multiple stakeholders across customer organizations to ensure alignment with their buying processes and decision-making structures.
  • Sales Execution: Set clear call objectives, tailor proposals, and guide customers through complex solution-selling cycles. Address resistance and buyer indifference effectively, using consultative sales techniques.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the internal customer advocate, collaborating closely with product, engineering, logistics, and quality teams to ensure optimal customer delivery and experience.
  • Market Insight: Maintain a strong understanding of trends, technologies, and key players in the semiconductor industry. Use this knowledge to identify new business opportunities (including NPI) and contribute to the broader ERIKS Semicon strategy.
  • Customer Data & CRM: Maintain accurate and up-to-date account and contact information in our CRM system. Use data to drive strategic account decisions and forecast future customer needs.


Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in key account management, technical sales, or customer success, ideally within the semiconductor, high-tech systems, or industrial components space.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex customer relationships and influence across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Proven skills in managing customer resistance, buyer indifference, and value-based selling.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Comfortable navigating large matrix organizations and collaborating across functions.
  • Fluent in English, Dutch (B1 level) is a strong plus.

Location

This role focuses on the headoffice of our semiconductor clients in the Netherlands, but international travel may be required (occasionally) to support their global manufacturing footprint. Our Alkmaar (NL) office is the central hub for ERIKS’ semiconductor activities.
