We are looking for a Vehicle Architect to define vehicle concepts, deploy and specify a coherent total of underlying subsystems, monitor and check the design of these subsystems. You will turn project and business requirements into a clear vision, performance objectives, and actionable roadmaps. You will be responsible for developing vehicle concepts, defining and aligning subsystems, and monitoring their design. Where needed, you will initiate corrective actions to ensure all targets are successfully met.
What you’ll be doing as a Vehicle Architect:
- Lead and maintain by coordinating the delivery of technical project content from various stakeholders. Ensure a complete and coherent technical project description, including specifications and detailed concept descriptions.
- Define vehicle-level targets and coordinate the development of new Noise, Ride Comfort, and Vehicle Steering & Stability concepts, as well as improvement measures, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders by leveraging and optimizing future vehicle and driveline concepts.
- Propose and shape project content within your area of expertise. Present and advise on proposals to stakeholders and support informed decision-making.
- Establish SMART vehicle requirements from advancements in Noise, Ride Comfort, and Vehicle Steering & Stability.
- Translate legislative changes and market developments into a long-term vision for your fields of expertise, aligning with technical roadmaps.
- Develop, maintain, and share knowledge in your domain, staying ahead of internal and external innovations.
- Define and oversee verification and validation activities in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
What you need to be successful as a Vehicle Architect:
- A Master’s degree in a technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with tools such as Jira,Doors, Doors NG etc.
- Broad knowledge of automotive systems and technologies.
- A proactive, creative, and analytical mindset, combined with strong communication skills.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
- Dutch language skills are a plus.
