We are looking for a motivated professional to take charge of planned and corrective maintenance activities on critical onshore midstream assets. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking energy operator that values safety, quality, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Maintenance Team Lead, you will supervise and manage a dedicated team of technicians, service providers, and subcontractors to ensure the flawless execution of all maintenance activities across multiple assets. You will play a critical role in coordinating maintenance strategies that uphold the highest standards of safety and reliability while working closely with operations teams to prioritize work and deliver results on time.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Leading the planning and execution of all planned and corrective maintenance tasks across onshore midstream facilities.
  • Supervising technicians and contractors to ensure maintenance activities are safe, efficient, and compliant with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring and reporting maintenance progress daily using CMMS (preferably Maximo), identifying risks and proactively solving problems to avoid operational downtime.
  • Enforcing strict adherence to HSSE policies and promoting a culture of safety first.
  • Providing coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training to develop your team’s technical skills and professional growth.
  • Collaborating closely with operations to coordinate maintenance windows, prioritize urgent repairs, and support asset reliability initiatives.
  • Conducting quality control inspections on completed work orders and ensuring replacement parts meet technical standards.
  • Leading continuous improvement efforts to enhance preventive maintenance programs and optimize asset performance.
  • Managing workshop upkeep and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards at the site.
  • Participating in emergency call-outs outside regular hours to support critical maintenance and repairs.

What You Bring to the Table

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a solid technical background combined with proven leadership skills and hands-on experience in the oil & gas or energy industry. Your expertise will be key in driving maintenance excellence while fostering a motivated and capable team.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technical Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, or equivalent).
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in maintenance roles within the Oil & Gas or related energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation systems (LV-HV), with certifications such as NEN3140 & NEN3840 highly advantageous.
  • Extensive experience leading maintenance teams of 8-12 technicians, ideally in a midstream or industrial setting.
  • Proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably Maximo.
  • Solid understanding of industry standards, legislation, and best practices, including ATEX, PED, API, ISO14224, and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch (or willingness to learn Dutch).
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Willingness to participate in call-out rotations and flexible working hours, including weekends.
