This is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading organization in the circular supply chain sector, based in the Zuid Holland region. This is a full-time, international role offering great development potential.
You’ll take a lead position in the execution and supervision of service and maintenance across technical installations in locations throughout the Netherlands and Europe. The position is both operational and strategic supporting engineering projects, advising regional teams, and optimizing maintenance practices for long-term performance and efficiency.
Core responsibilities
- Lead and deliver engineering and development projects for new or upgraded installations
- Analyze technical needs, advise on investments, and drive cost-reduction initiatives
- Optimize technical work methods, reduce downtime, and enhance OEE
- Develop and implement maintenance plans, support in commissioning/start-up
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for spare parts and technical components
- Monitor and manage maintenance and consumable budgets, benchmark KPI performance
- Support operations and maintenance across European locations (travel ~40-50%)
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or Business Management
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in maintenance or reliability engineering
- Skilled in maintenance systems/software and familiarity with project methodologies (Prince2, Agile, Scrum)
- Strong communicator, team player, and process optimizer
- Willingness to travel to support operations across the EU
