Team Leader Maintenance - Packaging Operations

A long-established multinational company is seeking a Team Leader Maintenance to join its high-performing packaging operations team. With a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and ethics, this organization produces premium nutrition products for one of the largest global markets.

As Team Leader Maintenance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our packaging lines-where dry blending and canning come together to form the final product. You'll lead a skilled team and collaborate across departments to maintain high operational standards and deliver excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of General Maintenance and Instrumentation & Control Technicians, along with maintenance planners.
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities on packaging lines, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Act as a visible leader on the shop floor, driving performance and supporting your team.
  • Collaborate with reliability experts to enhance equipment uptime and optimize maintenance strategies.
  • Review maintenance orders and generate periodic KPI reports.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and act as a safety ambassador.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through reliable and responsive service.
  • Continuously improve departmental processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support team development through training and coaching.
  • Build strong relationships with Operations, acting as their technical counterpart and providing hands-on support.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree (HBO) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Technical Business Administration.
  • Proven leadership experience in a maintenance environment, ideally within Food or Pharma sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical/electrical installations and process automation.
  • Familiarity with ISO, GMP, HACCP, and EHS guidelines.
  • Flexible and available outside regular hours to support a 24/7 operation.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented.
  • Skilled in motivating and developing team members.
