The product sales specialist will act as a subject matter expert for our chemical safety products to support our existing and new business models, having a wealth of knowledge about the product range. The responsibilities for this position include conducting market research and analyzing trends, developing sales, price, and profitability strategies, and recommending improvements, identifying opportunities, and increasing revenue. They will also be involved in facilitating training sessions. The product sales specialist must have a passion for the products they work with and keep expanding product knowledge, a willingness to inspire customers, and the ability to work both independently and within a team ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Helping to define strategic objectives and growth goals for the assigned product categories. Being the go-to product category expert with knowledge of the overall market, key players, (regional) norms & compliance, and Justrite’s unique winning features providing internal and external technical support. Collaborating with regional sales teams to drive Justrite Safety Group’s market penetration to a leading position in targeted segments through end-user targeting and product range curation with distributors. Collaborating with global marketing and product management to develop and deploy winning value propositions and to help drive local new product introduction (NPI) toll gates. Following market pricing and margin potential and helping develop and manage pricing strategies and customer negotiations. Participating in market committees to drive standards. Performing product demonstrations for customers, staff, and other stakeholders. Scheduling training sessions and attending meetings as required. Conducting market research and analyzing industry trends to define business opportunities to gain market share. Building and maintaining customer relationships. Resolving customer issues and answering all product-related questions. Partnering and strategizing with sales, marketing, operations, and engineering teams for product knowledge, development, and customer satisfaction. Identifying new market opportunities and relaying this information to the EMEA Sales Director and other relevant stakeholders. Making helpful product recommendations and suggestions to increase revenue. Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives by distribution channel, product category, and end-user segments. Create and deploy sales growth countermeasures directly informed by A3, or other formalized problem-solving and continuous improvement tools. Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree in a business-related curriculum and/or 5+ years of relevant product specialist experience in the chemical safety product industry and industrial channel. Must maintain a high level of integrity with the representation of Justrite Safety Group. Sound understanding of CRM systems. Knowledge of the regulatory complexity of multiple countries in Europe and the United Kingdom. Extensive experience in chemical safety supply or similar business-to-business industry in the EMEA region. Excellent communication skills required. Excellent problem-solving skills required. Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel), Salesforce, and PowerBI knowledge and use helpful. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Working Experience
Approximately 5 to 10 years of relevant chemical safety product specialist experience or equivalent. Preferably in the Health and Safety markets and associated business sectors such as (but not limited to) Chemical, Pharma, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing and Industrial.
