the energy transition and deliver value to our customers. We are now embarking on an exciting
journey to develop an ammonia import terminal and CO2 storage and export capabilities. As a
Commercial Manager, you will play a vital role in expanding our business, strengthening
customer relationships, and contributing to the success of our commercial strategy of the new
energy business.
The role will be based in Vlissingen (min 2/3 days/week) and will involve regular travel within and
outside Europe.
Your Role as Commercial Manager
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, and
agreeing/negotiating complex long-term storage and throughput agreements with new
customers. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring their needs are met while
aligning with LBC's strategic goals. The role has a dual reporting line to the Business
Development & Commercial Director Europe and the General Manager LBC Vlissingen.
What Youll Do
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand LBC's customer base.
Negotiate and finalize complex and long-term contracts with customers, ensuring
mutual benefit and alignment with company policies.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with (new) key customers and
serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring a high level of
satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet customer
requirements.
Develop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Ensure contract terms are met, working closely with operational and commercial teams.
Further build a small commercial team to expand commercial opportunities in new
energies for the Vlissingen terminal.
What You Bring
Proven experience (10+ years) in business development and sales, preferably in the
chemical, petrochemical, or logistics industries.
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Experience with complex long-term contracts in gas, LNG is preferred.
A results-driven mindset with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or other languages is a plus.
