Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with safety and institutional regulations
Support research on chronic metabolic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), including experimental design, data analysis, and maintenance of specialized equipment
Contribute to grant applications, scientific publications, and foster collaborations with academic and industry partners
Lead business development initiatives, including identifying funding opportunities, facilitating technology transfer, and establishing partnerships to translate research findings into commercial or clinical applications
A 5.5-day workweek is required. Requirements
A Ph.D. degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
Exceptional organizational, technical, and communication skills, with the ability to integrate scientific expertise and strategic thinking in a dynamic research environment
A strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under pressure within a multidisciplinary team What We Offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis or 2- to 3-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
