For Product Manufacturing and Packaging, you will source and coordinate the production for our – Body & Beauty categories (Shower Foams, Body Creams, Fragrances, Skincare & colour cosmetics).

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As a key member of the sourcing department, you will work closely with our Innovation, supply chain and quality teams in securing our yearly Innovation Calendar.

You are responsible for the commercial agreements with our suppliers. You will manage our long-term supplier relationships together with the Category Buyer. You will execute the sourcing strategy and make the right decisions based on your knowledge of the market and deep analysis of the data.

YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES

You report directly to the Category Buyer and work closely with multiple internal stakeholders: Innovation, Quality, Regulatory, Impact, Supply Planning and Business Improvement teams. Besides internal stakeholders you liaise and negotiate with suppliers and external parties.

You are eager to manage existing commercial relationships, negotiating new and existing products and components at the right commercial conditions to secure supply against our high quality levels.

You ensure compliance with Rituals sourcing principles and you are able to influence business and challenge business decisions with your commercial and negotiation skills. You are able to keep deadlines, highlight risks & identify opportunities.

Key results areas are

  • Ensure compliance of Rituals’ sourcing principles.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on commercial conditions: prepare request for quotation, buy the right product at the right price, commercial terms and formalize the agreements
  • Actively contribute to build and manage successful long-term partnerships with suppliers
  • Manage all administrative activities for your products
  • Initiate and execute saving initiatives
  • Work closely with Innovation, Supply Chain and Quality and act together as a category team to ensure on time product launch and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare sourcing business cases around our AQSCIS principles.
  • Work on sustainable initiatives together with your product category and your suppliers.

  • You have a higher professional or university level in the field of purchasing, business administration.
  • You have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the cosmetics industry: procurement of cosmetics ingredients, contract manufacturing or packaging.
  • You have affinity with cosmetics.
  • You have great project management skills.
  • You are a real team-player and problem solver.
  • You have strong analytical, planning & organizational skills.
  • You have a strong personality with excellent management & communication skills.
  • You are savvy, accurate and persuasive.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written communication).
