As ASM ALSI’s Business Development Manager you lead the business development for Laser & Plasma etching processes. You lead the development of new markets, new applications, new materials, and customers for Laser and Plasma Etching applications.
Responsibilities
Drive the Business Development Strategy Plan. Maintain and adjust regular with internal stake holders and key customers. Position Business Development as a strategic resource and trusted advisor, building credibility by bringing fresh product and process ideas that support and advance the goals/objectives of the business. Interact with Product Manager, Marketing Manager, R&D, Engineering, process Development, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Sales & Marketing and other business units to ensure strategies and programs are aligned. Responsible for promotion and managing the relationship for Laser and Plasma Cleaning technology at Fabless companies . Try to get a buy-in in order to let the Fabless companies push the OSAT’s to go for ASMPT’s products Develop the Business and Sales at targeted OSAT’s and Tier 1 IDM companies to ensure that the Market and Process roadmaps does reflect their short and long-term needs. (1 year, 3 year and 5 year) Installed base. Create for target Companies clear requirements (process, hardware, sales) which can be shared within ALSI Sales and marketing. Networking Create a good relationship with world-wide leading R&D institutes and create a good relationship with leading consultancy companies like Yole, SEMI, IC-Insigth. Investigate new technologies and/or Applications which are close to actual Product and process port-folio, but can create future additional business. Partner closely with corporate ASMPT Business Development to develop, prioritize, and implement a comprehensive Company & Process strategy. Support in Marcom, white papers, presentations, website input Support sales with CoO for customer applications and products. Benchmark actual Product & process port-folio performance with top 3 competitors. The Business Development Plan will be an important plan, but not limiting, input for the Product and process strategy, i.e. generate the requirement list (in order of priority) for innovation (for example: sustaining Hardware and Software, Patents, New Concepts, System Architecture, Cost Down, Machine Roadmap) Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, science or technical business At least 10 years’ prior industry related business development experience Knowledge of Semiconductor Market and its applications Excellent skills with communicating with both customers as well as colleagues and analyse their feedback. Ability to bring complex process and technology down to simple and core benefits for the customer Analytical and problem-solving skills Decision making skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Fluent in English and Dutch Experience with MS-office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Independent, initiative, pro-active, representative, and professional.
