Finance, Risk & Data Management (Hybrid)
Impact: Own the quality and usability of finance & risk data that underpins regulatory and internal reporting for a large international bank! You’ll be the point of contact for stakeholders, translating requirements into clear data definitions and business rules, and safeguarding data quality through monthly reporting cycles and a major cloud migration.
What you’ll do
- Run and improve the monthly finance/risk data process so that validated data is available on time for internal stakeholders and external regulators.
- Validate data quality end-to-end (lineage, definitions, controls) and ensure alignment with data management standards (incl. BCBS 239 principles).
- Translate business requirements into data definitions and SQL-based business rules; participate in testing to confirm changes meet requirements.
- Support the decommissioning of legacy systems and the migration of the on-prem data warehouse to a cloud data platform.
- Guide stakeholders on how to use the data model and warehouse correctly; act as the liaison between business, risk/compliance, and engineering.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to set priorities and ensure data management work is visible on the backlog.
- Contribute to cross-domain change initiatives that improve data processes, controls, and systems.
