Facility Operations Technician

Hard Services Maintenance Team

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and structural maintenance to ensure the safety and functionality of our two-office building and laboratory facilities.
• Diagnose and repair issues in technical installations.
• Record and manage service requests using facility management systems.
• Carry out routine safety inspections and compliance checks, including legionella monitoring.
• Oversee external contractors and assist with maintenance-related projects.
• Maintain inventory and manage tools, materials, and spare parts for repair and maintenance activities.
• Assist with facility-related tasks, including internal relocations and event setups.
• Participate in the on-call duty rotation outside of standard working hours.

Requirements

• MBO-level education in a technical discipline.
• Valid VCA VOL certification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting is a plus.
• Background in facility management or technical support.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Proficient in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
• Familiar with MS Office and facility management systems.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the Netherlands. (Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.)
