Allround financial administrator

Opening for All-Round Financial Administrator (32-40 hours p/w)

Location: Amsterdam

We are hiring! Join our team as an All-Round Financial Administrator in our Amsterdam Head Office. In this role, you will be responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of our financial administration and play a key part in strengthening our finance processes.

Reporting to the CFO/COO and working closely with the finance team you will manage core financial processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Our ideal candidate has solid experience in financial administration, is detail-oriented, pro-active and enjoys combining hands-on execution with improving processes.

We seek out, protect and process the world's rarest & fairest cacao varieties into exclusive, pure top-quality chocolate and in a regenerative way. Cacao growers receive training, equipment and - through direct sales - fair prices for their rare beans. Thanks to consistent regenerative agroforestry and climate-optimized production, including compostable packaging, Original Beans is the first and only chocolate that is climate-positive. Original Beans’ products have won many food and chocolate awards and are loved by chocolate lovers, including a who’s who of top chefs and patissiers, the world over. 

Who are we looking for?

Key responsibilities 

• Manage the order-to-cash process for 2 subsidiaries
• Handle the purchase-to-pay process for Original Beans and subsidiaries
• Ensure correct and timely VAT and tax compliance 
• Support the preparation of monthly closings and year-end accounts
• Assist in financial reporting and analysis
• Provide overall support to the CFO/COO
• Webshop operations

Key competencies 

• At least 2-3 years of experience in financial administration or a similar role
• Solid knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations (VAT, filings, year-end accounts)
• Hands-on mentality, accurate and detail-oriented
• Strong skills in spreadsheets and financial systems
• Pro-active and able to suggest improvements to processes and tools
• Experience in working with different stakeholders internally and externally
• Fluent Dutch and proficient in English; German is a plus
• Comfortable across cultures
• Passionate about sustainability and organic foods
