The position


As a Scada Engineer at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects over the years, based on your experience and interests. Projects within industries such as Banking, Fintech, Telco, Retail, Sports, and Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities


As a SCADA Engineer, you will contribute to the energy transition by working on innovative and challenging projects that strengthen and future-proof the energy grid. Your role will be diverse: one day you may be in the heart of a high-voltage/medium-voltage station, and the next you may be collaborating with colleagues in Breda or consulting with clients to develop tailored technical solutions.


  • Drafting functional descriptions and technical specifications
  • Preparing Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) documentation
  • Programming and configuring gateways for system integration
  • Designing and implementing HMI visualisations for operational monitoring
  • Working with industry-standard communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104)
  • Coordinating and communicating with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Performing on-site implementation, commissioning, and system testing
  • Configuring and managing industrial network switches
  • Designing and contributing to secure, reliable network architectures


What you bring to the position


  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology
  • Affinity with software tools and programming languages in technical environments (knowledge of IEC 61850 is an advantage)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with excellent organisational abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Based in the Breda area, with willingness to travel across the UK for project work
