What is your assignment

As our Lead Export Control Officer we expect you to contribute to the development, implementation and governance of the international export control regulations and policies within the Business Group Microelectronics worldwide. You ensure full compliance with national and international foreign trade regulations regarding import and export of materials, goods and technology.

Apart from developing and ensuring process adherence, you will act as a key knowledge point across multiple sites for international export control compliance matters.

As an expert you have the innate ability to create export control teams in our subsidiaries in China, Singapore, Taiwan and the USA, and to inspire and lead these interconnected export control teams. You can clearly define and communicate our export control strategy and way of working throughout the organization. As a representative of the company you are the contact person for the authorities and represent the company in official matters.

More specific, you will be responsible for identifying new and changed export control related regulations with national (Dutch), regional (EU), and extraterritorial (US) foreign trade requirements to ensure the implementation of standards and policies in the respective subsidiaries of Schunk Xycarb Technology. From an export control perspective you will assess business opportunities for business growth, take the lead in defining and adapting required compliance measures such as Internal Compliance Programs, including its sub-processes like sanctioned party list screening, classification of goods, and license management. You conduct audits and trainings in the companies of our Business Unit "Microelectronics". Out of your expertise you are able to support the strategic management but also your colleagues from Sales & Marketing, Procurement, Logistics and Project management.

You lead a team of 2 dedicate Export control specialists report into the SXT President and work closely with Corporate Export Control from the Schunk holding and Lead Export Control Officers of the Schunk Group. Your office will be at the lead company of SXT in Helmond, the Netherlands.

What are the required skills?

For this function it is important that you have a proven record in Foreign Trade Laws such as the EU Dual Use regulation and the U.S. Export Administration Regulations within an international business environment, preferably within the Semiconductor Industry. Looking to our business it would be an advantage if you have an in-depth knowledge about US sanctions.

The right candidate for this position will have:

• At least a Master degree in law or in a technical field, with additional education/experience on (NL/EU/US) export controls
• Knowledge in contract management is welcome;
• Proven skills and insight in management of Internal Compliance Programs, understanding of business priorities, and flexibility to manage these against the world wide dynamics of Markets and changing regulations;
• Result driven, accurate and assertive;
• Inspiring and confident collaborative leader; dedicated, reliable and self-critical;
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English, Dutch and German is not mandatory but appreciated;
