We are recruiting a Warehouse Team leader, inbound for our site in Schiphol- Rijk, Amsterdam. You are constantly managing and motivating your team, you also strive for process improvements.

• You are responsible for the appraisal and coaching of your employees and you guide them through processes.
• In a team of several Team leaders, you work closely together with various departments within the organization. You are also responsible for the appraisal and coaching of your employees and you guide them through processes.
• You are responsible for quality and productivity numbers, and you coordinate operational activities within your department. You are also involved in setting up a sharp staffing and you ensure proper time registration.
• As a Team leader you are responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation managing warehouse associates and implementing warehouse action plans, Returns or Quality. Reporting to the Supervisor.

This role offers a 2-shift pattern, Monday – Friday - 06.00 – 15.00hrs and 13.00 – 22.00hrs rotating weekly

Each shift consists of 2 team Leaders, 3 coordinators and approx. 40 FTE within the warehouse

What you do on a typical day – Team Leader, Inbound

• Manage team performance; develop associates by providing training and coaching.
• Instruct, inform and support the employees of the department, so that the work is carried out safely, efficiently and correctly, in accordance with the applicable standards (including KPI’s and productivities).
• Maintain a safe work environment with a positive team dynamic.
• Lead start-up activities with cross functional teams.
• Make recommendations regarding new hires, terminating contracts, performance evaluations and promotions.
• Ensure that documents work instructions of processes are up to date and are being followed by the department.
• Continually strive to improve the processes of your department.
• Setting up a sharp staffing planning.

What Need To Succeed At GXO – Team Leader, Inbound

• You have at least MBO (post-secondary college) level of work and thinking, alternatively at least one year's experience within a similar position.
• Experience of working within logistics industry, warehouse, production, manufacturing environments
• Fluency in English (Dutch language is a nice to have).
• Good analytical mindset, with the ability to report to customers
• You have an enthusiastic and flexible attitude, and you have a self-starting ability.
• You have good knowledge of office software and WMS functionality.
