Functieomschrijving: 
Als Financieel Assistent bied je essentiële ondersteuning aan de financiële afdeling door het afhandelen van dagelijkse boekhoudkundige taken, financiële rapportages en administratieve taken. Je werkt nauw samen met de Financieel Manager en draagt bij aan het bijhouden van nauwkeurige gegevens, het waarborgen van naleving van financiële regelgeving en het bevorderen van efficiëntie in processen. 
 
Taken en verantwoordelijkheden: 

  • Alle voorkomende financiële transacties, inclusief het bijhouden van grootboekadministratie, crediteurenadministratie en banktransacties. 
  • Boeken en controleren van inkoopfacturen, beheer van goedkeuringen en zorgen voor tijdige betalingen aan leveranciers. 
  • Boeken van banktransacties, uitvoeren van betalingen en beheer van aanmaningsprocessen. 
  • Boeken van onkostendeclaraties, zorgen voor naleving en nauwkeurigheid. 
  • Assisteren bij maand- en jaarafsluitingsprocessen, inclusief journaalposten en balans afstemming. 
  • Volgen van gedocumenteerde processen en procedures om een sterke interne controleomgeving te waarborgen. 
  • Voorbereiden van specificaties voor balansrekeningen en Intercompany-accounts, verstrekken van documentatie indien nodig en assisteren bij de voorbereiding van maandelijkse rapportages. 
  • Assisteren bij de voorbereiding van BTW-aangiften en belastingaangiften, zorgen voor naleving van lokale regelgeving. 
  • Deelnemen aan interne en externe audits, voorbereiden van noodzakelijke financiële gegevens en informatie. 
  • Administratieve ondersteuning bieden aan het financiële team, inclusief het bijhouden van gegevens, het beheren van douanedocumenten en coördinatie met andere afdelingen voor ad-hoc taken. 
  • Werk nauw samen met andere OpCo's en teams binnen de regio om soepele financiële operaties en effectieve communicatie te waarborgen. 
  • Vaardigheden/Ervaring: 

  • Ervaring in soortgelijke functie is essentieel, bij voorkeur ondersteund door een diploma in financiële richting. 
  • Effectieve communicatieve vaardigheden in Engels en Nederlands, zowel schriftelijk als mondeling met het vermogen om samen te werken met internationale en multiculturele teams. 
  • Ervaring met ERP-systemen (bijv. Dynamics AX). 
  • Zelfstandig maar ook samenwerkend, accuraat, pro-actief, servicegerichte houding.

    Job Summary:
    As a Finance Assistant, you will provide essential support to the finance department by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, and administrative duties. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will contribute to maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving efficiency in processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • General Accounting: Manage bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining the general ledger, purchase ledger, and bank transactions.
  • Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices, manage approvals, and ensure timely payment to vendors.
  • Bank and Cash Management: Record transactions, perform reconciliations, set up payments, and manage dunning processes.
  • Expense Management: Handle travel and management expense reports, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closings: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Internal Controls: follow documented processes and policies, to ensure a strong internal control environment.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting: Prepare reconciliations for balance sheets and inter-company accounts, providing documentation as required, and assist with preparation of month end reports.
  • VAT and Tax Compliance: Assist with preparation of VAT returns and tax declarations, ensuring adherence to local regulations. 
  • Audit Support: Participate in internal and external audits, offering necessary financial records and information.
  • Office Administration: Provide administrative support to the finance team, including maintaining records, managing customs documents, local office administration, and coordinating with other departments on ad hoc tasks.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other OpCos and teams within the region to ensure smooth financial operations and effective communication.


  • Skills/Experience:
  • Fluency in English is required, as is fluency in Dutch,
  • Previous experience in a busy finance or accountancy role is essential, ideally supported by an accounting qualification or degree.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (., Dynamics AX) and proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong reconciliation, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with international and multicultural teams.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team.
