Job Description
For our location in Leiden, we are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Scientist Analytical Chemistry to join the team. As Assistant Scientist Analytical Chemistry you will be responsible for preforming lab support activities including:
Performing assays to support analytical development using techniques including: A280, SEC, cIEF, cSDS, and Excipients testing.Sample management services such as sample receipt, storage, disposal, and sample shipments.LC- Requalification, TOC monthly verification, cleaning validation and buffer preparation.Generating results data, analyses data, and review.Performing lab duty checks.Creating, adjusting, and maintaining documentation as required.Performing proceedings in laboratory and sample management areas according to relevant GMP documentation.Keeping equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies.Performing preventive maintenance if possible and organizing repairs if necessary.Recognizing obstacles and discussing problems with colleagues and supervisors.Following all safety, SOPs and documentation as requiredQualifications
MBO or Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedicine, process technology (or equivalent).Starter/ 1-2 years’ relevant work experience in a biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry environment.Experience in a quality or GMP role in a cGMP environment is preferred.Experience with techniques, such as: A280, Sec, cIEF, cSDS, HPLC, MS, TOC, SDS-PAGE is preferred.Experience with buffer preparation is preferred.Strong communication skills. Dutch and English (Spoken/written); Daily communication language on location is English.Problem solving skills.Ability to strive in a dynamic environment.Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team.Self-motivated with a positive attitude.Flexible and able to prioritize well.Accurate, and attention to detail.Additional Information
