QPS Netherlands BV in Groningen is part of a global organization, conducting cutting-edge drug research for international pharmaceutical and biotech companies. We're looking for an experienced and motivated Director of Bioanalysis to lead a key team!

As Director of Bioanalysis, you’ll oversee all bioanalytical operations using LC-ICPMS, ensuring robust method development, validation, and high-quality sample analysis to support drug development. Reporting to the Senior Director of Bioanalysis, you'll drive strategy, innovation, and operational excellence within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

The Job

What will you do?

  • Leadership & Strategy: Set the vision, lead a talented team, and drive innovation in bioanalysis.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage studies, resources, and timelines while ensuring regulatory compliance (OECD, EMA, FDA, ICH).
  • Technical Expertise: Stay ahead of bioanalytical advancements, troubleshoot challenges, and maintain top-quality standards with particular focus on ICPMS
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.

    This job will be 100% office-based in our Groningen Netherlands office.

    Requirements

    Who are you?

  • Ph.D. (or equivalent experience) in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in bioanalysis, method development, and validation utilizing LC-ICPMS/ ICPMS.
  • Strong proven knowledge / experience with chromatography and ICPMS.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for bioanalysis or environmental analysis.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Skilled communicator, able to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
