We are looking for an enthusiastic Bachelor or Master student who is studying in the direction of, for example, Finance, Sustainability, Economics, Accounting, or similar. You are available from February 2026 until June 2026.
Knowledge of ESG, CSRD legislation and data assuranceLanguage skills: Good communication skills (writing and speaking) in English and Dutch are requiredCompetencies: advanced knowledge of Excel, Workiva W-desk, PowerBI (or other reporting tools)Since this is a project where we are looking for practical results, graduation theses might not fit. The Sustainability department is responsible for improving sustainability within DAF and its value chain, making it measurable, reportable and auditable. This can only be done by integrating sustainability reporting processes in all business processes and create sustainability goals for every department.
The Sustainability department is part of the Finance and Control organization of DAF Trucks and is based in Eindhoven. The role of the finance and control organization is to provide correct and accurate financial/business information and maintain strong internal controls to make sure we comply to all legal requirements and provide accurate information to our stakeholders.
As from 2027 DAF is required to disclose significantly more non-financial information in its annual report to meet ESG/CSRD requirements. This information has to be audited (limited assurance) by an external auditor. Therefore we have to make sure data is reliable, complete and accurate and controls are in place to safeguard accurate and complete reporting.
