Credit controller

For a leading player with a strong international network, we are looking for a Credit Controller (m/f/x) in Barendrecht. What will you be doing?
As a Credit Controller in Barendrecht, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable portfolio and ensuring that payments are received on time and accurately. You will maintain contact with customers, monitor credit limits, and work closely with colleagues from sales, finance, and customer service. Thanks to your analytical skills and strong communication, you can identify risks while maintaining healthy customer relationships.
Your responsibilities:
- Monitor customer accounts and identify overdue payments
- Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices via phone and email
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve disputes
- Accurately record communications and payment statuses
- Assess credit risks and provide input on credit limits
- Prepare aging reports and support month-end closing
- Contribute to process improvements within credit control

What do you bring?
- Completed MBO-level education in Finance (or equivalent)
- At least 2-3 years of experience in credit control or accounts receivable management
- Experience with Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Hands-on mentality with the ability to take initiative
- Strong command of both Dutch and English (spoken and written)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Exact, or similar) is an advantage
